Responsible for leading the Flight Centre Travel Academy's "Work, Study + Play Whitsundays" program, you will be responsible for the engagement, alignment, industry connection, placement, retention, and overall experience of students within the program.
You will work closely and is support by the Student Support Team, Facilitation Team, Whitsunday Employer Partners and internal Travel Academy team. This full time role will ideally be based in either the Brisbane or Melbourne head office with flexible arrangements available.
What you will be doing: Student Engagement Manage a FCTA Program to ensure students are educated, engaged, supported, and retained throughout their program to completion.
Tasks include (not limited to):
Facilitating program introduction sessions with students Engaging students into their program and educating them across the various elements involved Liaise with facilitators on a regular basis to provide program updates and ensure study guidance is provided Coaching calls to support students through the program and into further semesters Support sessions to assist with employment progression and retention Develop, share and execute annual program plan to ensure program success through:
Ongoing improvements are made to the program for student experience Suitable resourcing is available throughout peak program periods Increased clarity for direction of program across the business Monthly reporting of program results for internal use, employer partners, stakeholders and suppliers Student Job Outcomes Educate, evaluate, and assist students on work applications.
Tasks include (not limited to):
Provide guidance and advice to students regarding career pathways, opportunities, and recruitment practices Conduct Screening Calls with students and graduates for progression into employment Provide honest feedback to students about their skills and the requirements of selected tourism jobs Deliver outcome-based conversations with students regarding employment Maintain employer partner and supplier relationships to strengthen placement processes and student experience by:
Developing awareness of current jobs skills required across multiple roles with employer partners Providing employer partner recruitment information to internal and external customers Working with employer partners to assist in placement process Attend employer partner events, career workshops, student graduations and other applicable events as required Communicating regularly with employer partners to provide feedback, improve processes and enhance the employment experience Provide general support and assistance to the team across different programs to ensure a positive student experience, timely completion of processes and key business measures
