Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance. About the Role: WorkPac are currently seeking a Study Lead for Tailings to commence work as soon as possible. This position will hold a Monday to Friday roster, be Perth based with adhoc site travel and be 12 months in duration with competitive rates available for the successful applicant. Key Responsibilities will include: Be responsible for the study strategy and management (including schedule and cost) and delivery of the study, through options selection, support the delivery team complete Feasibility Study and Execution phases Develop scopes of work and facilitate the tender process Manage multiple consultants providing design and review and keep internal specialists informed Engage with several technical and non-technical internal stakeholder groups, supporting risk informed decision making Generate regular reporting on the status of the study Skills & Experience Required: A minimum of 5 years experience as a study lead / project lead Ideally, previous experience working on Rio Tinto Iron Ore sites and systems Awareness of the Global Industry Standard for Tailings Management, application experience beneficial Previous experience leading studies and/or projects, ideally tailings or hydrogeological assessments supporting external approvals Excellent skills in written and oral communication, problem solving, issue resolution, stakeholder management, and a thorough understanding of delivering user requirements under typical project constraints. Strong track record in developing strong relationships with technical teams, customers, vendors and leaders in large organisations. Demonstrated ability to interpret customers' business and technical needs.
