As the first Steiner School in Australia, Glenaeon has a fine heritage of pioneering work in innovative education dating back to our origins in 1957. We now educate up to 500 students from Preschool to Year 12 across three campuses at Castlecrag, Middle Cove and Willoughby on Sydney's Lower North Shore.
Glenaeon is seeking a warm and compassionate Student Wellbeing Coordinator (2 days per week, 12-month contract) to support students to be well at school by working with their allocated student case load, and proactively contributing to student engagement through short-term counselling and small group interventions for identified students across the school. This role also includes contributing to our wellbeing program, staff and community engagement through consultation and collaboration with staff involved in the academic and pastoral care of students.
Salary for this role is in accordance with the classifications under the Independent Schools NSW (Support and Operational Staff) Multi-Enterprise Agreement. The successful candidate must hold tertiary qualifications in a mental health field, such as psychology, counselling or social work and registration with the appropriate professional association (i.e. AHPRA, PACFA or AASW). In addition, you must provide a Working With Children Clearance prior to commencing and must have or be willing to obtain their First Aid Certification.
