About this role: As the Student Support Coordinator, you will play a critical role in identifying and addressing individual learning needs, collaborating with educators, parents, and professional services to provide tailored educational plans. This role offers the opportunity to create a stimulating and supportive environment where all students can thrive.
Tasks and Key Responsibilities: Assess and address individual student needs through evaluations and personalised learning plans (ILPs).Collaborate with teachers to modify and adapt curriculum content for accessibility.Coordinate with the Student Support Team, external professionals, and families to ensure comprehensive support.Maintain high standards of record-keeping for programs, assessments, and NCCD compliance.Organise and facilitate meetings with teachers, parents, and professional services to discuss progress and strategies.Provide guidance and professional development to staff on implementing support strategies.Qualifications and Skills: A teaching or psychology/counselling qualification with current professional registration.Knowledge of NCCD processes and adjustments.Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse backgrounds.Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities with confidentiality and ethical conduct.Commitment to mandatory reporting and child safety standards.Possess or willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check for paid employment.Job Applications close: Friday, 20 December 2024* *Early applications are appreciated to assist the interview process.
