Triage and provide early intervention, support and advice to Pre-service Teachers.
Provide support, advice and early intervention strategies that foster students' engagement and success.
The Role The Student Support Advisor role is responsible for working closely with Academic Co-ordinators, Associate Deans and relevant internal ECU student and academic centres to coordinate proactive and systematic processes, strategies, and advice to support enrolled students' engagement, retention, and academic success, with a particular focus on supporting students enrolled within the Bachelor of Education and Master of Teaching programs.
Outside routine Unit matters, operate as a first point of contact for students and triage to provide early intervention, support and advice.
Provide support, advice and early intervention strategies that foster students' engagement and success, through access to the diversity of resources available within ECU to support student learning and retention.
In collaboration with internal teams and Academic Co-ordinators proactively identify and develop innovative digital tools, templates, and resources to improve internal student processes and access to information and support.
Experience To succeed in the role, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate success in the following: A relevant tertiary qualification, with subsequent relevant experience OR an equivalent gained from a combination of relevant experience, training, or professional accreditation (preferably within an education/teaching context).
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the tertiary education sector, preferably related to student academic progress.
Demonstrated experience interpreting and providing accurate advice related to policy, procedures, and internal governance processes.
Relevant experience demonstrating excellent customer service.
