King's Own Institute (KOI) is a leading private institution of higher education located in central Sydney and Newcastle, Australia, offering high quality accredited diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Accounting, Business, Management, Information Technology (IT) and postgraduate courses in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).PurposeTo coordinate the student services processes for international and domestic students in relation to student attendance, complaints and appeals, interviews, academic progress, trimester breaks, leaves/absences, academic monitoring/intervention programs, completion, awards and graduation.As well as to work as part of a team providing high quality, student-focused, professional, courteous and efficient services.
Support student engagement and well-being activities of students to enhance KOI's reputation, increase student numbers and cater to student needs.ResponsibilitiesAnswer general information enquiries from current students, including guidance with attendance, assignment deadlines, trimester breaks, leave (medical, compassionate, medical certificates), timetable, academic and graduation.Respond to all administrative complaints and appeals and escalate cases to supervisors/managers as required.Coordinate and manage students' records and files.Monitor and follow-up where necessary for new and continuing students to ensure adherence to study plans, attendance, breaks, award/course exits/withdrawals, transcripts, general student wellbeing, payment concerns and other non-academic issues.When required, report student issues to appropriate departments for further action.Ensure that student contact details are current in TechOne, as well as coordinate and manage TechOne for recording student completions, exit awards, transcripts and graduation status.Assist in organising and implementing graduation programs, awards and testamurs, catering, gowning, and other logistics for the graduation ceremony.Plan and assist other departments (Marketing, Admissions, Academic, Finance and Accounts, IT) in preparing and managing student engagement activities, enrolments, orientation and events.Perform all other tasks assigned by the Student Services Coordinator/Student Administration Coordinator/Senior Student Services Manager/Vice President (Student Affairs), Finance and Accounts.Participate in recommended development and training (including Cultural & Diversity Awareness, Compliance and TEQSA requirements).EssentialA minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similar position at other higher education and/or tertiary education providers.Proficient in reading and writing.Experience working with international students.Minimum of 1-year student services experience either within an education provider or relevant field.Knowledge of Department of Home Affairs (DHA) regulations (in relation to visas) and ESOS regulations relating to the higher education sector/providers.Candidate MUST:Reside in Sydney, NSW.Have unrestricted working rights.If this sounds like you and you are ready to take your career to the next level, please send through your CV and cover letter to our HR Department.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:Maternity leaveParental leaveProfessional development assistanceSchedule:Monday to FridayExperience:Student Services: 2 years (Required)Work Authorisation:Australia (Required)Location:Sydney, NSW 2000 (Required)Work Location: In personExpected Start Date: 20/01/2025#J-18808-Ljbffr
