University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) is opening a new campus in the Adelaide CBD in 2024, operated in partnership with Education Centre of Australia (ECA). The inaugural suite of offerings comprises IT-related undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs. The portfolio will continue to grow in the coming years.
We are seeking to appoint a
Student Services and Compliance Officer
to provide exceptional student experience at UniSC Adelaide. You will be an ECA appointee allocated to the UniSC Adelaide campus. The position is available as a full-time permanent appointment. As a key frontline team member, the Student Services and Compliance Officer is responsible for a range of functions including being the first point of contact for our students to ensure they receive an exceptional student experience at the UniSC Adelaide campus.
This position undertakes the administration, monitoring and reporting of student program/course variations and other matters to regulatory authorities via the Provider Registration and International Students Management System (PRISMS), as required by the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000.
The position is responsive to the administrative needs of staff and students within the student life-cycle inclusive of, but not limited to, general enquiries, orientation for new students, enrolments and timetabling. Key Responsibilities:
Compliance:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students to help ensure UniSC Adelaide's compliance with various Australian regulatory frameworks, such as the ESOS Act, National Code of Practice and the Higher Education Standards Framework.
Use PRISMS to report students.
Student services and administration:
Be the first point of contact for students and visitors who have a general enquiry relating to UniSC Adelaide.
Provide advice to students and complete administrative tasks associated with the student life cycle inclusive of, but not limited to administration of student records, UniSC policies and procedures, class timetable, enrolment, course variation, locating resources etc.
Student engagement, retention and other duties:
Support new student orientation and other on-campus student engagement activities.
Recruit and supervise Student Mentors and Ambassadors (students).
As the successful candidate, you will have:
A relevant tertiary qualification.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer/student-facing role.
Experience working in higher education and international education sectors.
Maintain student records using student management systems i.e. CRM, People Soft, PRISMS.
Experience with compliance including working knowledge of the ESOS Act, National Code of Practice and the Higher Education Standards Framework.
Knowledge of the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Attention to detail.
Data processing skills.
