About the role As the Student Retention Coordinator, your role involves overseeing a dedicated team responsible for reaching out to specific student groups, offering effective and efficient, targeted support for retention and well-being.
Your focus will be on coordinating staff in successful retention campaigns, implementing peer support strategies, and ensuring support services are prepared to assist students identified through this process.
You will be required to track the interventions and their success rates as part of your responsibilities.
Moreover, you will be charged with hiring peer support staff to work collaboratively with students within their studies.
About you To be successful in this role, you will have:         A relevant degree coupled with appropriate experience, or extensive experience and specialist expertise in student support services.
Strong data literacy, with the ability to identify, extract, and interpret data elements.
A solid understanding of data capture frameworks and project documentation.
Proven experience in leading a small team to deliver time-sensitive projects, with the ability to assess and report on team performance and efficiency.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
About the Pillar Staff within the Student Journey work in close partnership with colleagues across the University, including faculty staff, to ensure a cohesive, high-quality student experience.
Additionally, they collaborate with students to encourage student agency, support co-contribution, and create an inclusive, supportive environment where students actively participate in shaping their university experience.
