Job DescriptionOdyssey House NSW's trauma-informed services set us apart as a leader in the support service space for alcohol and other drug dependency. Our teams help clients to meet their goals and address underlying trauma and mental health issues while also developing new skills to improve all aspects of their lives.
We provide a diverse range of services to individuals, families, and community education. Our services include withdrawal services; one-on-one assessment and treatment by psychologists and counsellors; group therapy; residential rehabilitation; and free education at Odyssey College.

Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout Student Placements Odyssey is experienced at providing meaningful learning through student placements for a wide array of students in the past, including students undertaking Masters. Students advance their practice of counselling, gain practical skills, and help others lead the lives they wish to live.
We are currently accepting applications for student placements in our Residential Program. Successful student applicants in the past have possessed a strong interest in AOD or related fields, emotional resilience, and collaborative skills with a willingness to learn through critical self-reflection. All students must have a criminal check, a working with children check, and full COVID vaccination. All educational institutes must supply key documentation including insurance coverage. Student placements are unpaid and usually part-time.
Odyssey supervisors have supported students through coaching and mentoring around skills and knowledge in the AOD field such as group facilitation and 1:1 support. The Odyssey supervisor supports students to meet their placement goals in a team environment to deliver coordinated support.
The placement is at our residential sites at Ingleburn and Eagle Vale.
