About the Division and Team
The University Experience Division is within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Portfolio.
The University Experience Division provides a range of support, enrichment, and advisory services to help students achieve their university educational goals.
We support students living both on and off-campus and strive to ensure high quality and responsive services are delivered effectively to students from all backgrounds.
The Student Life team supports student engagement, equity, development and communications through co-designed programs and activities that enhance orientation and transition, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and community engagement for all students at the University.
About the role
The Student Life Officer is responsible for ensuring the high-quality planning, delivery, and evaluation of programs related to orientation and transition for domestic and international students, including Orientation Week.
Orientation and transition, including the lead up to and Orientation Week, is designed to assist new students to connect with the ANU community, discover and learn about support services, make informed decisions, and navigate their start at ANU.
A key aspect of this role is collaboration with key stakeholders across the University with an aim of moving towards a holistic, whole-of-university approach to support commencing students.
