About the Role The Student Learning Facilitator acts as a program manager and facility coordinator within the Inaburra Study Centre (ISC). The Inaburra Study Centre is an innovative program open to all students from Year 6 to Year 12 from 7.45am to 5.45pm in term times. The Centre also opens at least one week 9.00am to 4.00pm in school holiday breaks at the end of Term 1, 2 and 3 for Year 11 and 12 students.
Individual study programs are supported by Inaburra graduate tutors, who work with students after school to assist them with deepening knowledge, structuring study, and consolidation of subject content already delivered in class. Graduate tutors report to the Student Learning Facilitator.
The Inaburra Study Centre also hosts the HSC Mastery program in the mid-year holiday break, providing a targeted revision program to assist Stage 6 students in the preparations for the HSC. The Student Learning Facilitator provides administrative support in the weeks leading up to the HSC Mastery program and support for students and lecturers during the week itself.
The Student Learning Facilitator will ensure that the Centre is appropriately staffed and resourced across all of these activities. They will also facilitate the use of the Centre for other School and wider community events as necessary, presenting the School in a professional manner to all involved. Candidate Requirements A personal Christian commitment and understanding of the Christian context of the School with a demonstrated alignment with the mission and values of the School A Certificate III or IV in Education Support and/or prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant or Teacher's Aide A current First Aid certificate and Working with Children Check clearance Experience working with students who have special learning and/or support requirements (which may be intellectual, social and/or physical) Ability to manage sensitive information discretely and maintain confidentiality at all times Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in working as a team with the ability to be supportive, build connections and encourage others Confidence in the use of technology Employment Conditions The position is permanent part-time role, working mainly term-time only and some school holiday periods. Some additional days may also be negotiated with the successful applicant outside of term time for professional development or as required.
Salary is in accordance with the Independent Schools NSW (Support and Operational Staff) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2021.
