Permanent/continuing, part-time appointment (14 hours per week)
Level 5: $78,579 - $88,865 pro rata + 17% superannuation
The Careers & Employability unit is part of the Learning, Teaching & Curriculum (LTC) division within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & Student Life) portfolio at UOW.
LTC operates in flexible, multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with stakeholders to drive innovation and implement sector-leading practices that benefit our students and solidify UOW's reputation as a leader in higher education excellence.
The Careers & Employability teams work in partnership with Faculties, Divisions, and students to enhance career readiness and employability through a range of services and programs.
Within the curriculum, the team supports learning and teaching transformation by developing innovative approaches to Career Development Learning (CDL) and Work Integrated Learning (WIL).
About the Role
This part-time position, based at the Shoalhaven Campus, focuses on delivering career development learning (CDL) and employability services, programs, and resources informed by best practices and evidence.
Under the direction of the Team Leader - Student Careers Consultant and Faculty Careers Specialists, the role also contributes to the development of new programs and resources.
This position plays a key role in advancing the University's goals related to student employability and experience, aligning with the strategic priority of empowering students for their future through excellent service provision.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with progress towards or completion of a Graduate Certificate in Careers Education or a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
They should have strong skills in applying career development theories, evaluating labour market information, and using common office technologies.
An ethical, culturally sensitive approach, combined with excellent communication and multitasking abilities, is essential.
The candidate should also demonstrate a focus on client/student needs in fast-paced, confidential environments and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
