Salary: Pro Rata PACCT 6 $82,089.07 per annum (exclusive of superannuation)
About the role: An exciting opportunity for an experienced Student Counsellor to make a difference at BHI! This opportunity is a parental leave backfill - part time 3 days per week until October 2025.
The Student Counsellor provides a range of advice and counselling services to students of BHI Group to facilitate successful learning outcomes and enrich their personal and social wellbeing. Strategies and modes used include e-counselling, group programs, project work and teamwork with other staff.
The Student Counsellor is a member of the counselling team in Student Life. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with the broader Student Life team, and professionally with employees at all levels across the BHI Group and relevant external stakeholders.

Your Skills and Qualifications: Qualifications: Registration with AHPRA to practice as a Psychologist, or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social WorkersA relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or Social WorkExperience: Expertise in the provision of evidence-based short-term psychological counselling with a diverse population who present with a broad range of issues of varying complexity including mental health.Outstanding interpersonal skills to develop and maintain strong professional relationships within and external to Box Hill Institute.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and cooperatively in a team environment to foster a culture of student satisfaction and continuous service improvement.You will need to provide or be willing to obtain a current National Police Records Check, a Working with Children Check, evidence of your entitlement to work in Australia, and certified copies of your qualifications.About Us: We are proud to be a leading education provider with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality educational outcomes.
