CHRISTWAY COLLEGE – KINGSTON
STUDENT COUNSELLOR The College is seeking applicants for a Student Counsellor to work across all year levels in the College. The position is part-time or full-time, FTE negotiable, commencing January 2025. Salary will be negotiated in accordance with experience and qualifications.
POSITION DESCRIPTION The Student Counsellor is a key role at Christway College, responsible for the provision of services in relation to the psychological and emotional wellbeing of students. The Student Counsellor supports the management of students with emotional or behavioural challenges or those who are experiencing personal difficulties that impact upon their overall wellbeing.
The Student Counsellor will have a tertiary qualification in counselling and have a background in counselling children. They will report directly to the Head of Student Wellbeing and liaise closely with other key leaders and staff, especially those entrusted with student wellbeing and chaplaincy, so that together they can provide timely, proactive support for our students and help build the capacity of the College community to promote a nurturing environment that aligns with the College's vision and mission.
