pro rata.Location: Alice Springs Hospital Campus / Arrernte CountryAbout Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT At Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT, our aim is to be a hub for innovative health research, education, and workforce development across the Northern Territory.
We engage with students, community, and stakeholders to provide critical programs, such as the Northern Territory Medical Program, Paramedicine, Rural Clinical School, and the University Department of Rural Health.
Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program), provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training, and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes.
About the Role The Student Administration Services Assistant will provide quality administrative support for a range of student, teaching and learning related matters within the Northern Territory Medical Program in Rural and Remote Health.
The position provides effective customer service, including responding to routine queries from internal and external stakeholders, assisting with student related administration and updating and maintaining accurate records on the University's systems and databases.
The position also supplements the administrative support for topic and course development activities as well as placement administration.
The successful candidate will work as part of a highly skilled team to provide support services which are compliant with the priorities, principles and objectives underlying the University strategic goals.
About You To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
Completion of a certificate qualification relevant to administration, and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and trainingExperience and commitment to providing quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders in a complex service environmentGeneral administrative and organisational skillsAbility to use initiative, establish priorities, effectively and efficiently process large volumes of tasks whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail, and to meet deadlinesEffective IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, databases, Internet and the ability to quickly become competent with other systems and programs as requiredDemonstrated commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture, and role modelling behaviours that support the University's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).Life at Flinders We're transforming and investing in people and facilities to create contemporary, stimulating, and satisfying learning and work environments that reflect our core values of excellence, innovation, courage, and integrity.
