Senior Brand Manager – Chocolate Portfolio Location: Sydney, NSW

Founded in 1884, Stuart Alexander & Co imports, markets, and distributes premium brands such as Chupa Chups, Mentos, Biscoff, Guylian, Reese's and Hershey. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Brand Manager to lead the strategic development and execution of our Chocolate Portfolio.
This high-profile role is pivotal to achieving our business objectives and driving growth across our category. As a member of the confectionery team, you'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders while managing a talented team and overseeing the success of a portfolio of globally recognised chocolate brands.
The Role As the Senior Brand Manager, you will own the marketing strategy for the Chocolate Portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. You will have full P&L responsibility, manage key brand partner relationships, and lead a team of two direct reports. This role also includes oversight of marketing activities across both ATL and BTL channels.
Occasional evening meetings (monthly or quarterly) will be required to accommodate brand partners based overseas.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term brand and category strategies to achieve business goals. Lead the annual and 3-year planning process for the Chocolate Portfolio. P&L Accountability: Manage the portfolio's financial performance, including regular tracking and corrective actions in collaboration with the Head of Marketing. Team Engagement: Recruit, train, develop, and manage two direct reports—a Brand Manager and an Assistant Brand Manager—fostering a high-performance culture. Brand Partner Engagement: Manage relationships with global and local brand partners, fostering a collaborative environment, ensuring effective communication, joint business planning, and regular reporting. Marketing Activities: Drive ATL and BTL marketing activities, working closely with brand partners and shopper teams to ensure all activities align with brand strategies. Innovation: Key stakeholder in the NPD pipeline, leading strategic workshops through to the full Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle. Ensure all QA, regulatory and legal checks are completed. Growth Identification: Continuously identify growth opportunities within the Chocolate Portfolio and implement initiatives to capture them. What We're Looking For We are seeking a results-driven, experienced marketing professional with a passion for leadership and a proven track record in FMCG. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, exceptional influencing skills, and a strategic mindset, complemented by the ability to manage complexity and inspire a team.
Key Qualifications Previous FMCG experience, preferably within the confectionery category or other impulse categories. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with a focus on team development and coaching. Strong financial understanding and P&L management experience. Excellent analytical skills and project management capabilities. The ability to effectively manage relationships with both internal stakeholders and external brand partners.
