About the role Reporting to the Civil Maintenance Supervisor, V/Line is seeking a Structures Inspector to support our continued growth.
This role offers flexible location options, including regional depots in Maryborough, Ballarat, and Bendigo.
As a Structures Inspector, you will travel throughout the Victorian regions to inspect, monitor, and report on various civil structures and assets, such as bridges, tunnels, culverts, platforms, retaining walls, and overhead structures.
Your work will be crucial in ensuring the timely identification of maintenance needs to keep our trains running smoothly.
Key Accountabilities include: Undertake general and detailed schedules and unscheduled inspections on all designated civil assets.Compile detailed reports on the results of any inspection and recommend maintenance priorities to ensure ongoing safe and effective performance.Provide specific advice to management on civil assets.Update computer database for recording of asset condition.Identify and assess likely condition deterioration and identify timely or urgent actions to ensure structural integrity of civil assets.Ensure all structures meet safety and rail requirements.About you You will be adaptable and self-driven, thriving in an autonomous work environment.

Your ability to manage your time effectively and work independently will be key to your success in this role.
