Structures Inspector Travel Regional Victoria whilst working not being stuck behind a desk!Permanent Full Time position with opportunity to grow and develop your career.$89,779 p/a plus superannuation and 17.5% leave loading V/Line's purpose is to connect Victorians through safe, reliable, and accessible transport. About the role Reporting to the Civil Maintenance Supervisor in the Bendigo Region the Structure Inspector is part of the wider Network Development Asset and Maintenance function where you are integral to the success of V/Line's Group.
The role is varied, you will get to travel within Victoria's Regions inspecting, condition monitoring and reporting on all civil structures' assets including bridges, tunnels, culverts, platforms, retaining walls, overhead structures and structure clearance inspections to ensure timely identification of maintenance works.
Key Accountabilities include: Conduct thorough scheduled and unscheduled inspections of all assigned civil structures.Generate comprehensive reports detailing inspection outcomes, advising on maintenance strategies for optimal safety and functionality.Offer expert guidance to leadership regarding the management and upkeep of civil assets.Maintain an up-to-date digital record of asset conditions within our JDE database system.Proactively evaluate potential degradation of assets, recommending immediate measures to preserve structural integrity.Verify that all civil structures adhere to stringent safety standards and railway regulations.About you If you're a self-starter with the flexibility to work independently, and you're open to traveling for work, this is your chance! Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
Must have certificate/qualified level 2 bridge inspection course completedMust hold a Certificate 3 in Rail Infrastructure or have equivalent experience.Should have qualifications specific to Structures Inspections.Required to have a High Risk Work Licence.Current competency working safely at heightsCommitted to a Zero Harm Safety Approach in all work environments.Capable of maintaining high standards in Quality and Structural Inspections.Able to certify works according to industry standards.Demonstrated alignment to V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.In addition to free Myki travel, we offer:

The recruitment and selection process may include aptitude assessments, behavioural and/or technical interviews and employment references.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment screening including, probity (police) checks, medical assessment, and Australian entitlement to work. Employees of V/Line are required to maintain a valid Working with Children Check Victoria (Employee) for the duration of employment.
Remuneration for this position will be in line with the Asset Management Enterprise Agreement 2019 and is an IMW (TRACK) 2.5 $47.7965 or $89,779 plus superannuation, leave loading and overtime.
Current employees are expected to remain in their role for a minimum of 12 months before applying to new positions within V/Line.
