Long term career growth opportunities with a market leader
Job Description Your New Company
A defined infrastructure market leader, this multi-billion dollar business is currently undertaking significant change with a focus on improving customer experience and engagement. The business is at the forefront of a competitive industry and has built a highly respected brand and market reputation. With growth of this magnitude comes opportunity and now is an opportune time to join the team.
Your New Role
You'll be a key driver in the development and maintenance of a broad range of critical infrastructure assets. Working within an extremely collaborative engineering team, you'll tackle a diverse range of projects, from complex electrical infrastructure assets to broader facilities including offices and depots. Key aspects of your day will typically include:
Developing structural and mechanical designs, primarily using AutoCAD and Revit Preparing both 2D drawings and 3D models, with close engagement across a broader team of drafters and engineers Support project costing and tender preparation Undertaking site inspections to develop conceptual and detailed design solutions Engaging not only with the engineering team, but also with key stakeholders across the broader business to ensure designs align with project requirements. In addition to a 9-day fortnight, the role will provide long-term career growth opportunities and support ongoing professional development. You can undertake the role in a hybrid capacity if that's preferred, with a minimum of three days in their Western Sydney office.
About You
You will be an ambitious drafter who thrives on being challenged and doing things differently. You will ideally have at least several years mechanical or structural drafting experience, with exposure to 3D modelling being a bonus. Specific industry experience isn't a requirement as they would prefer to develop someone with the right attitude and teach them the sector specifics. This isn't a "back office" drafting role, so the ability to effectively engage not only with your team but also broader stakeholders across the organisation will be important.
