The Opportunity Canberra location. Exposure to varied high profile projects & clients across building services and specialised structural engineering. The successful candidate will be entitled to NDY Employee Benefits The Position As the Structural Engineer Lead at NDY, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional structural engineering services throughout the project lifecycle. Based in Canberra, you will work independently and as part of multi-discipline project teams to achieve outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver technically excellent engineering designs and consultancy services to our clients Take on a senior design engineer role in various projects Mentor and support the technical development of junior team members Assist with bid preparation and submissions as needed Build and maintain strong client relationships and secure new projects Promote a culture of safety and quality within the team Demonstrate resilience and adaptability in leading projects and teams Foster a people-first, supportive leadership style that prioritizes team well-being and development. Who we're looking for: 5-10 years Structural engineering professional with a relevant tertiary qualification Significant experience at a Senior Engineer level, ideally within a consulting engineering background Expertise in structural investigations of existing structures and construction phase inspections Flexibility to work on projects ranging from minor reviews to major structural developments Experience across the full project lifecycle, including project delivery Chartered Engineering status is desirable, or eligibility to apply for CPEng/NER Knowledge of relevant Australian codes and standards, and proficiency in designing RC/PT concrete, structural steel, and mass timber Proficiency in structural analysis software such as RAM Concept, RAPT, Spacegass, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar. Training and Development NDY has a strong focus on the development of our staff and training will be a key element of this development whether on internal or external training courses. We will develop a career plan for each staff member that will focus on core elements of your role to provide you with a clear progression in your career path.
