As the Structural Engineer Lead at NDY, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional structural engineering services throughout the project lifecycle. Based in Canberra, you will work independently and as part of multi-discipline project teams to achieve outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver technically excellent engineering designs and consultancy services to our clientsTake on a senior design engineer role in various projectsMentor and support the technical development of junior team membersAssist with bid preparation and submissions as neededBuild and maintain strong client relationships and secure new projectsPromote a culture of safety and quality within the teamDemonstrate resilience and adaptability in leading projects and teamsFoster a people-first, supportive leadership style that prioritizes team well-being and development.Who we're looking for:5-10 years Structural engineering professional with a relevant tertiary qualificationSignificant experience at a Senior Engineer level, ideally within a consulting engineering backgroundExpertise in structural investigations of existing structures and construction phase inspectionsFlexibility to work on projects ranging from minor reviews to major structural developmentsExperience across the full project lifecycle, including project deliveryChartered Engineering status is desirable, or eligibility to apply for CPEng/NERKnowledge of relevant Australian codes and standards, and proficiency in designing RC/PT concrete, structural steel, and mass timberProficiency in structural analysis software such as RAM Concept, RAPT, Spacegass, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar.Training and DevelopmentNDY has a strong focus on the development of our staff and training will be a key element of this development whether on internal or external training courses. We will develop a career plan for each staff member that will focus on core elements of your role to provide you with a clear progression in your career path.
