Well respected consultancy with 38 years' industry experienceBrand new office in Central MackayThe Position:Due to business growth, we are looking for mid to senior level structural engineers to join the team. Based in Mackay, you will work on a range of mining, ports and transport infrastructure (bridges, roads, rail) remediation design projects.This is a full-time permanent opportunity in a highly regarded and established consultancy that values its staff, invests in their professional development and rewards generously.Responsibilities:Work on ongoing critical projects with a key focus on safety and quality.Work on structural design projects including computer-based analysis of mining/marine/transport infrastructure structures with concrete and steelwork;Act as client contact as appointed for specific projects;Conduct condition assessments, audits, surveys;Liaise with staff members in other offices; andOther tasks as allocated by senior staff.Selection Criteria:Whilst there will be on-the-job training and the opportunity for career progression, the successful applicant will ideally have:Degree in Civil/Structural Engineeringminimum 5 years' industry experience minimum (client side or consulting)Knowledge and experience using structural analysis software packages i.e. SpaceGass, Strand7;Sound knowledge and experience in structural design, analysis, client/stakeholder management and project delivery;Understanding/experience on major construction projects;Hold or be working towards CP Eng and RPEQ;Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;Strong attention to detail and take pride in their work;Willingness to travel to undertake site inspections in remote locations;Be currently residing in Australia; andExperience with Cathodic Protection design and durability engineering working with marine, mobile machines, bulk materials handling or shafts/tunnel assets will also be advantageous.Why work with RKF ESRKF ES offers a great workplace culture, competitive salary and some fantastic staff benefits.
