Our Water team promotes holistic, sustainable water resource management for governments, investors, developers, manufacturers, utilities, and corporations, helping with network maintenance and development, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, cost reduction, and future-ready strategies.
This role will see you enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP's Water Utilities team.
You will join one of the largest consulting teams in Adelaide in the water sector and collaborate with talented professionals nationwide (Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and Gold Coast).

We are involved in some of Australia's industry leading water programs partnering with key clients including: SA Water Engineering Panel Logan Water Partnership, Logan City Council Wastewater Regional Program and Water Southern Zones Programs, Urban Utilities Capital Delivery Office (CDO), TasWater Gold Coast PSP Delivering 4 Customers, Sydney Water What you'll do We recognize that everyone has unique strengths, and while we value the right experience, we welcome applications from candidates with proven water retaining structures experience in the water, mining, or industrial sectors at a Professional to Associate level.
Depending on your experience, you will ideally: Driving the technical quality of water and wastewater infrastructure design projects.
Structural design development and delivery from concept design to detailed design to ensure work output is of a technically high standard.
An understanding of design and/or design management on projects or program work packages would be advantageous.
Contributing to the design team by actively assisting colleagues in achieving improved client feedback results, enhance satisfaction, and exceed client expectations.
Assisting in preparing and coordinating high-quality proposals and pursuits.
Develop & mentor emerging professionals.
Working collaboratively with a local and national team.
About you Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
Proven local design experience, ideally in a consultancy environment.
Chartered Engineer advantageous or actively working towards chartered status.
Experience in detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with specific experience in water retaining structures, pipeline, pump station design and treatment plants.
Able to produce technical reports to a high standard requiring minimal correction; and provide final review of reports.
Good knowledge of relevant industry related Australian Standards and WSAA codes would be advantageous.
Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes.
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
