Van der Meer Consulting is a multi-disciplinary Structural and Civil engineering consultancy with offices in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney. Our rapidly expanding company is currently seeking a suitably qualified Structural Engineer to join our Melbourne office.
Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following:

Minimum Bachelor of Engineering in Structural/ Civil.
Minimum 3 years' structural engineering experience gained within a consultancy environment is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in the design of projects in the residential, commercial, retail and industrial sectors.

Skills and Personal Attributes:

Sound knowledge and application of Australian Standard design codes, relevant design techniques and construction procedures and techniques.
Experience in the use of software such as RC Buildings, Microstranor Space gass, Rapt, Slabs, PT 3D and Microsoft Office.
Must have excellent presentation and communication skills as these are essential for client liaison.
Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate and work with draftsmen, engineers, architects and design managers.
Proven track record of working to tight deadlines and within budget.
Be enthusiastic and committed to facilitating client needs
Must demonstrate initiative and be a team player
C class drivers licence
