GC Wind Services are expanding and are currently looking for a Structural Engineer who will play a critical role in overseeing the structural design aspects, including the design process, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Playing a key design management role in the opportunity pursuits, design and delivery phases of projects.Providing specialist technical input including structural design oversight, project planning and coordination to a diverse range of multi-disciplinary projects.Conducting design reviews and checks to identify and rectify any potential issues, ensuring high-quality design deliverables.Communicating effectively with clients to present design concepts, progress, and recommendations, addressing any concerns and fostering a positive client relationship.Providing mentorship and guidance to team members.Managing the execution of drafting engineering packages & drawings through CAD systems.What you will bring to the team: Degree qualification in Structural Engineering with strong understanding of power industry design principles for substation, transmission line and renewable projects.5+ years' experience (RPEQ, CPEng or equivalent) in delivery of Substation & Transmission projects to applicable ANZ Standards and Guidelines (consulting industry preferred).Proficiency in using specialist design and analysis tools on structure and foundation design e.g.
PLS-CADD, MicroStation, AUTOCAD, 12D etc.Experience in design management involving multi-disciplinary teams with strong communication and client relationship management skills.The ability to mentor, motivate and guide team members. #J-18808-Ljbffr
