With seven offices throughout Australia, our team works on projects that transform and improve the lives of Australians every day.The Opportunity:We are seeking a motivated Experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in Hobart. You will contribute to a variety of major infrastructure projects, as well as industrial and commercial developments, whilst learning to design in a range of different structural materials under the guidance of our senior engineers. You will gain valuable experience in a broad range of engineering streams in our flexible work environment. With offices around the country, there is opportunity for inter-office engagement throughout your tenure. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Apply engineering fundamentals to solve intermediate to advanced engineering solutions.Liaise with clients, design technicians, and other team members to deliver practical solutions.Prepare fee proposals and tender documentation.Provide technical guidance to junior members of the team.Undertake site inspections to brief clients and scope work.What you bring:Experience in structural engineering design.Bachelor of Civil Engineering or higher.Strong analytical thinking skills and a problem-solving mentality.Excellent report writing skills.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both with colleagues and clients.3 D modelling experience, Space Gass preferred, but translatable experience on other analysis packages is welcome.Strong knowledge of engineering first principles.Sketch production.Enthusiastic engineer who would like to experience a broad range of structural disciplines.Self-directed learner who can dissect an engineering standard and apply the concepts under the guidance of a senior engineer.Developing strong project management skills.Strong attention to detail.Strong experience in concrete and steel design.Why join us:We're a friendly bunch who are passionate about our work.
