Main activities include bridge inspections, bridge load ratings, hydraulic and hydrology design, project design reviews, technical advice, review and development of standards and heavy vehicle bridge assessments as well as selected design works relating to bridge refurbishment and replacement. Undertaking research projects is a small but important part of the Branch's activities.For key deliveries of the Structural Engineer role, please see the Job Role Statement (JRS).About YouMain Roads is looking for individuals to perform the maintenance and refurbishment design of existing bridges, assessment of bridge heavy load movements, structures asset and condition management tasks, and support in the waterway design of structures. This role requires you to perform your work under general direction and more complex tasks under professional supervision.
