Structural Engineer

The Opportunity
Based in Notting Hill in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, our client is seeking a mid-level Structural Engineer to join their team. Ideally, candidates should have 3-5 years structural experience in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. This role will be a full-time position, and you will gain the opportunity to learn and be mentored by senior engineers of the business.
The successful candidate will need to have proven experience working on projects such as:

Mixed-use apartments
Schools
Hospitals
Community centres
Warehouses

This role also offers the opportunity to be exposed to client management, where you will be liaising with all aspects of the design process.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Coordinate the design of projects from concept to completion
Prepare design, analysis, and computations for parts or all of allocated projects
Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements
Work closely with clients to ensure their needs are understood and met
Review own work and the work of others for conformance with the certified Quality System

To be successful, you will have to demonstrate the following attributes and skills:

Proven experience designing high-end residential, commercial, and industrial projects
Experience using software such as Rapt, ETABS, and RAM Concepts
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Completed a Bachelor of Engineering
Knowledge of Australian Standards & Building Codes
