Strike Energy Limited (Strike) is a proudly Western Australian Company building an integrated, low-carbon energy business, based on our access to Perth Basin gas and new energy resources. About the role:
The Graduate Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting the General Manager Developments in coordinating the delivery of the South Erregulla Peaking Gas Power Station. This newly created position will involve hands-on project engineering activities, including project plans, scheduling, progress measurement, cost tracking, and reporting, under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Ideally, we're seeking a Graduate Process or Chemical Engineer with 1-2 years' experience who is keen to continue to develop their skills and knowledge in the oil & gas and power station industry.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the preparation and updating of project management plans. Assisting in the award of procurement packages and tracking delivery to site. Coordinating weekly and monthly project reporting as well as updating and tracking of project schedules and budgets, including the tracking of key project milestones. Coordination of activities between engineering disciplines and contractors, such as mechanical, electrical, and civil, to ensure seamless integration of design solutions. Support the maintenance of project document database. Support the team to ensure compliance with project regulatory approvals. Actively engage in training programs and on-the-job learning to acquire the necessary technical skills and industry knowledge. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, participate in safety meetings, and contribute to a culture of safety within Strike. Ideally you will have:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably process or chemical engineering with 1-2 years' industry experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges. Basic knowledge of gas processing and power production will be advantageous. Willingness to travel to site as needed. Your application will include the following questions:
