We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a Strategy Planning Lead to join Icon Water.
This role has the primary responsibility for developing long term strategies and plans for Icon Water's water and wastewater assets, including supporting the delivery of the Integrated Water Management Program in conjunction with various internal and external stakeholders.

About your new role Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Develop and implement long term asset plans and strategies to ensure infrastructure reliability, efficiency and sustainability across Icon Water's water and wastewater asset base.Contribute to the delivery of long-term planning and decision making initiatives through the implementation of the Integrated Water Management Program (IWMP).Contribute to the continuous improvement of Icon Water's Asset Management System to align with ISO55001, including contributing to the development of asset objectives and decision support frameworks.Contribute to the preparation of long-term asset investment plans, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and available asset information.Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all Icon Water stakeholders to understand asset reliability and performance requirements and seek to incorporate these requirements into asset management strategies.Work with the Customer and Engagement Group to include customer and community research in asset planning decisions.Contribute to the development of strategic performance monitoring indicators and reporting.Other duties within the employee's skill, competence and training.Our ideal candidate will possess: Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as in engineering.Extensive experience (5 years plus) in strategic asset planning and/or project/program management in the water industry.Extensive experience in water and sewerage system performance assessment, specifically related to network capacity, reliability and efficiencies.Experience in the planning, operating, design of water and sewerage systems.Experience in stakeholder engagement and ISO 55001 requirements.Experience in interpreting technical regulations, codes and standards.Knowledge of the application of a variety of risk and financial analysis methods.Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements with a detailed understanding of the application of economic regulation principles in a monopoly utility.The ideal candidate will be adaptable, professional, and service-oriented, with strong analytical thinking and interpersonal skills. They will be able to manage projects effectively, make informed decisions, and communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Additionally, the candidate should possess negotiation and influencing skills to maintain productive relationships while achieving desired outcomes.Does this sound like you?
