About the role As Strategy and Planning Analyst, you will be joining IG's Supply and Technology business.
This team drives innovation and technical & operational excellence, transforms information, and optimizes the portfolio to safely create value, deliver low-cost gas, and low carbon solutions to our customers.
The Strategy and Planning Analyst plays a critical role in driving the success of Origin's Integrated Gas division by delivering a cost-optimized development and production supply plan for the APLNG portfolio.
The position supports long-term strategic planning, cost analysis, and risk mitigation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve production targets at the lowest cost.
Key responsibilities Drive accurate representation of cost metrics within supply plans in collaboration with Assets, Finance, Asset Services, and ensure cross-functional alignment to achieve strategic objectives.Deliver a value-optimized production supply plan over five-year and life-of-field (LOF) horizons.Own and coordinate updates to the Upstream Development Plan (UDP) Assumptions Book, and Price Book including facilitating input from multi-disciplinary teams.Coordinate cost inputs, challenge pricing assumptions, and analyze cost-saving initiatives.Ensure new field developments and inter-asset planning are integrated into the portfolio.Assess and report value insights across Integrated Gas.About you In this analytical role, strong skills in cost analysis, forecasting, and problem-solving are essential.
You should have a proven ability to work with complex financial and operational data, offering clear insights to optimize cost and efficiency.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are vital, as is the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Adaptability to changing priorities and a proactive, detail-oriented approach will ensure success in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving financial performance.
