About you
As a Strategy Manager, a few key responsibilities of this position will be to facilitate and shape the strategic plan for the Guild Insurance business by:
Undertaking analysis to identify trends, themes and catalysts within core and emerging markets. Manage the annual strategic plan and budget planning process including identification of risks. Engaging SMEs across the organisation to develop insights and initiatives that deliver on that strategic plan and inform the budget in terms of costs and benefits. Acting as a trusted strategic advisor and thought leader to the business and support other business units with their needs within the strategic domain. To manage and support key strategic initiatives, by:
Conducting financial modelling and developing business cases for initiatives. Developing project plans and benefits realisation plans. Supporting PIRs and continuous improvement efforts across the business. Key linking and collaboration role across cross business units and shared services, especially technology and finance. People Use information, facts and figures to explain ideas and concepts Present visual, written and verbal information in a clear and structured manner Demonstrate awareness of stakeholders and their drivers Team contribution / personal resilience Collaborate with broader organisation to implement market initiatives Demonstrate awareness of others Challenge status quo and acts as a thought leader Proactively seek feedback from colleagues on performance and development Networking and connecting Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders Engage confidently and effectively with leaders, peers and staff in the insurance business and Group shared services Facilitate and Manage change Proactively drive change outcomes within the strategic plan with adept change management approaches Adapt well to constantly changing workload Regulatory & Reporting: Ensure compliance with regulatory regimes, including completion of all mandatory compliance training within defined timelines. Undertake all work to the standard required, adhering to key policies, procedures and role authorities. Adhere to the 'no surprises' rule through timely and transparent disclosure to Leader and/or other relevant Managers of mistakes and/or things that go wrong, or policies, deadlines & commitments that may not be met. Where applicable, take or assist with identification of remedial action. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry standards related to insurance and actuarial practices. Overall key relationships that you will have within Guild Insurance are: Strategy, Digital & Analytics team Guild Insurance Leadership Team Senior leaders across Insurance business Senior Leaders across Group Shared Services, especially in IT & Finance External strategic partners External vendors. Here are some things that you will ideally have knowledge of and previously worked with: Work Experience Minimum 5+ years experience in management consulting; insurance or in-house strategy roles.
