About the job We are looking for a Strategy Director to join our Media team in Sydney.

The Strategy Director manages a portfolio of business within CHEP Media's client roster. You'll demonstrate leadership and inspire your team and client teams to deliver famously effective ideas that help our clients' growth plans.
The day to day... Responsibility for the strategic output on every element of their clients' business and is relentless in ensuring it meets the highest possible standards. They will work closely with the Client Directors to ensure that the product delivered to clients is truly integrated and best in class. Participate, embrace, and lead training forums for your team and, where applicable, the common good of the agency. Develop long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with all clients and own the Marketing Manager and, indeed in some instances, the Marketing Director level client relationship. Work proactively to identify organic growth opportunities and be seen as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders within their clients' business. Deliver the insight and rationale to deliver the big leaps of faith clients should be taking. Understand the difference you need to make for your clients at a business level, not just a communication one, and ensure strategic priorities are geared to business growth. Identify insights that are compelling, not naturally obvious, and genuinely unlock behaviour change. Ensure all media strategy recommendations deliver on the clients' brief via clear and innovative media recommendations. Ensure planning and implementation recommendations deliver on communications strategy and that they demonstrate planning theory and rigour. Proactively strive to demonstrate ways to help clients achieve their business objectives, even if they're not directly related to a current brief. Your background & experience A bachelor's degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in a relevant field. Proven experience mentoring colleagues across agency disciplines. Expert understanding and working knowledge of the Australian media landscape. Proven ability to identify and execute organic growth opportunities. Ability to develop strategically aligned communications principles and guide their application among client teams. Full understanding and experience using the following tools: Roy Morgan, Nielsen, AQX, EMMA, and Warc. Exceptional understanding of theories of marketing science and behavioural economics. A proven ability to apply this thinking to deliver actionable communications strategies and drive ideas through to implementation. Expert understanding of how to apply data and analytics to inform strategies as well as develop measurement frameworks.
