Optus is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as eCommerce Business Operations lead, driving growth and excellence through strategic tribe operations. This role will be working within a fast-paced agile environment in Optus' eCommerce Tribe and be at the frontier of digital innovation at Optus. The eCommerce Tribe's purpose is to be Australia's most loved eCommerce experience that's simple, fast and reliable for everyone.
In this role, you will play a meaningful role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our eCommerce Tribe operations. This position involves strategic planning, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical approach, outstanding leadership skills, and a consistent record in handling agile teams operating at scale in sophisticated organisations.
Your day in the life at Optus,Support eCommerce strategy and product roadmap development.Define operational objectives and key results to measure and drive performance.Optimise the allocation and utilisation of resources to support business objectives.Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.Utilise data and analytics to inform decision-making and drive operational insights.Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance metrics.Manage Tribe financial activities, templates, and tasks/roles, including CAPEX and OPEX management, forecasting and reporting, procurement and tracking of costs across cloud, licenses, vendors, professional services and people.Your skills to pay the bills,Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.Proven experience in business operations, management consulting, or a strategy role is ideal.You are a commercial minded individual, it is critical to this role that you have experience in budgeting and forecasting.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, underpinned by excellent project management ability.Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SQL).Ability to lead and motivate cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Perks we love at Optus3 days in the office, 2 days remote – with flexible hours to suit!Inclusive paid parental leave, up to 14 weeks for the primary care giverAll Optus employees have access to resources, webinars and support via the 'Parents at Work portal'Own your own growth by accessing an extensive online and facilitator led learning catalogue – even earn a MBA micro-credential via OptusU (University)Connect at work through one of our employee-led volunteer groups: Culture Connect, Elevate Women, Disability Network, Express Yourself (LGBTQIA+), United Veterans and Yarn NetworkVibrant campus life, variety of facilities including restaurants, cafes, gymnasium, GP, and post officeFree Optus bus from Macquarie University Metro Station (every 6-8 minutes); morning and afternoon!Keen to see what it's really like to work at Optus?
