We're currently seeking a full-time Strategy and Assets Engineer to join our supportive and collaborative team.
This dynamic role allows you to combine fieldwork—muddy boots and all—with detailed office-based strategic planning.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring that Council's infrastructure assets deliver long-term value and meet quality standards for the community.
About You We're looking for a passionate engineer who thrives on problem-solving and working both on-site and behind the scenes.
To excel in this role, you'll need: Qualifications : A tertiary degree in civil engineering.
Experience : Proven ability to manage and ensure the quality of large datasets, and experience with on-site civil engineering projects.
Skills : Strong time management, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
Knowledge : A sound understanding of infrastructure assets—how they're built, maintained, and optimised for long-term value.
Interpersonal Abilities : Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to deliver effective solutions for both individuals and the community.
While not essential, project management experience will be highly regarded.

Your Core Responsibilities As Strategy and Assets Engineer, you'll work closely with the Manager of Engineering Services to develop and maintain strategic plans for Council's infrastructure assets.
Key duties include: Ensuring infrastructure assets deliver value for community stakeholders.
Providing expert advice on strategic planning, financial analysis, and development options.
Managing consultancy contracts for infrastructure asset planning.
Offering technical support and quality administrative oversight.
