This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing, with the employment type to be determined in negotiation with the preferred candidate and the NIAA delegate.
Where a non-ongoing specified term is offered, this would be for an initial period of up to 12 months, with possibility of extension up to a maximum period of two years.
A non-ongoing offer may result in conversion to an ongoing offer of employment, however this must occur within 18 months from the opening date of this advertisement.

The Opportunity
The Northern Territory Strategy and Policy (NTSP) Branch works with policy and program divisions to deliver NIAA programs and priorities in the Northern Territory. We support strategic engagement with government and non-government partners for economic development, children and families reforms, food security, broadcasting and media, and service delivery coordination and collaboration.
As an NTSP team member your day might consist of drafting a policy briefing to the Minister's Office or NIAA senior executive, providing advice on how to apply the Closing the Gap framework to initiatives, and partnering with Northern Territory stakeholders to deliver community and government priorities.
We are seeking several highly motivated, collaborative and creative skilled officers.
Positions are available at both APS6 and EL1 levels across NTSP teams:
