Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,2 days from an RACP office location per week,1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.Job DescriptionContract until June 20253 days/weekThe Role The Strategy Advisor sits within the Strategy & Transformation (S&T) team and supports the development and execution of a clear and robust strategy to achieve the goals of the College, with a deliberate focus on member value, financial sustainability, and operational efficiency.
The Strategy Advisor is a casual/contract role which will provide expert advice and guidance on strategy development, and specialist delivery capabilities; ensuring alignment with the College's objectives while fostering innovation and internal capability uplift.
Other deliverables include:
Design and facilitate workshops with the Senior Leadership Team, members, and other stakeholders to refine the strategic ambition, strategic initiatives, surface insights, align priorities and prepare workshop outcomes.Lead and deliver focus groups with members and external stakeholders to gather inputs for strategic planning and validate emerging opportunities.Coach and mentor Strategy & Transformation team members and the broader College to build internal capabilities in strategic planning, customer experience, commercial partnerships, and facilitation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to identify and prioritise key initiatives that drive member value, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability.Prepare high-quality briefing materials, synthesis of insights, and presentation of recommendations to the Head of Strategy & Transformation, SLT, and the Board.Provide specialist support to other College initiatives, such as member-centred design opportunities or partnership strategies, leveraging expertise in strategic thinking and innovation.Monitor external trends and best practices to inform the strategic planning process and ensure the College adopts innovative and forward-looking approaches to strategy execution.Desired Skills and ExperienceThe Successful Candidate To be successful in the role, you will have over 15 years experience in strategy development, planning, and execution across complex organisations.
You will also possess:Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.Proven experience designing and facilitating workshops at team and executive levels, including focus groups and strategic planning sessions.Demonstrated ability to engage with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders at all levels of an organization.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a high degree of ownership and accountability for deliverables.Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to synthesize information and present clear recommendations to executive audiences.Experience providing coaching or mentoring to uplift strategic planning and facilitation capabilities in others.Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to ask challenging and thought-provoking questions to refine strategic priorities.Strong project management and organizational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.Ability to synthesise data for an executive audience, extracting what matters.Knowledge of the healthcare, education, or not-for-profit sector is advantageous.#J-18808-Ljbffr
