Responsibilities Support the development of Navy capability proposals (business cases, cabinet submissions, and Ministerial briefs). Manage them through the internal committee process for Government consideration. Develop and coordinate committee documentation in support of proposals adhering to internal committee and government requirements. Develop and maintain relationships with project teams, senior executives, internal stakeholders, and central agencies to facilitate support for defence capability proposals. Ensure high level of consistency, quality, and clarity is applied to streamline government consideration of proposals. Translate technical requirements and specifications into compelling narratives tailored to different and diverse audiences. Qualifications We are looking for strong candidates that have:
Experience: Intermediate to senior level in defense, particularly in policy, or government relations. Writing Skills: Ability to produce clear, concise, accurate, and timely documentation for government consideration. Analytical Skills: Competence in analyzing and interpreting complex issues and developing documentation for early-stage capability projects. Strategic Management: Ability to manage issues strategically, applying expertise and innovative thinking. Problem Solving: Proactively identifying and resolving issues in consultation with key stakeholders. Relationship Building: Ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders while managing competing agendas. Resilience: Effectively managing pressure and coping with setbacks. Cabinet Process: Understanding of or experience with the Cabinet process. Financial Literacy: Competence in financial matters. An active AGSVA Negative Vetting 1 or higher. Undergraduate and/or post-graduate degree qualifications, or equivalent work experience recognised by the firm.
