JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description: Here's a great opportunity to join the Pet Nutrition Commercial Team!
This role has responsibility for the procurement of Cereals, Grains and Dry Animal Protein (DAP) materials from the Oceania region.
Through the effective development & deployment of category strategies and Mars policies and practices, the role creates a competitive advantage for Mars whilst minimizing risks to supply.
Creating value for Pet Parents this role will bring external insights, and you will be actively involved in the identification and execution of sustainability, growth, and cost savings activities to meet our local and global targets.
This role vacancy is a Parental Leave cover position commencing in late 2024 completed by the end of Jan 2026.
Key Responsibilities Accountable & Responsible for the performance and results of the category including strategy definition & execution, procurement, and supplier management Responsible for price forecasting, providing timely intelligence on pricing and availability risks as well as early identification of opportunities.
Responsible for Value Leadership & Transformation activity, Sustainability implementation and future sourcing for the category.
Build and maintain Supplier Relationships & ensuring robust, metric driven Supplier Performance Management for the category.
Effective part of the Mars Global Category Network actively contributing to global direction and activities, leading where appropriate.
Responsible for delivering key metrics for the category What we are looking for: Relevant tertiary qualifications - Bachelor's degree in engineering, Agricultural science, Business management or Finance preferred A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Supply Chain function.
Ideally, experience in a large FMCG environment.
A good understanding of raw materials conversion processes, commodities and market fundamentals Experience in leadership including sourcing strategy development, price risk management and value leadership.
Strong communication and project management skills.
