Strategic Pricing Manager Thomson Reuters are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Strategic Pricing Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative pricing strategies that drive profitability and market share.
You will leverage your analytical expertise and deep understanding of market dynamics to optimize our pricing models, ensuring competitive positioning and revenue growth. As a key member of our organization, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support our business objectives. This role will be based in Sydney.
About the Role In this opportunity as Strategic Pricing Manager, you will:
Enable delivery of price, retention and gross sales targets through the development and implementation of strategic price and packaging recommendations. Engage closely with cross-functional teams to source, validate and analyze market information and trends, customer data (including spend, cancellation and utilization information), as well as insight on competitor pricing and propositions. Directly engage with customers and prospects to capture and validate insight including feedback on proposed price and packaging initiatives. Undertake modelling to inform recommendations leveraging the TR's Pricing Centre of Excellence and the broader expertise of Finance, Commercial Excellence and Proposition functions. Review discounting policy and practices and incorporate into pricing recommendations. Secure stakeholder approval to price and packaging proposals. Work closely with go to market and enabling functions (including as part of formal operational readiness programs) to prepare and oversee the implementation of new price and packaging through pilot and full deployment phases. Working with colleagues in Proposition, ensure Go to Market and enablement teams are able to effectively articulate and justify pricing and packing to clients. Track and respond in an agile fashion to key performance indicators. About You You're a fit for the role of Strategic Pricing Manager, if your background includes:
A minimum of 10+ years' work-related experience in a similar role, preferably in a high technology related field. Practical experience in developing and implementing growth orientated price and packaging strategies in the B2B market. Qualification in marketing, information technology or business. Be self-sufficient and a self-starter, while also being able to work well in a diverse team environment. Strong multitasking and time management abilities. Analytical skills aligned with pricing strategies. What's in it For You?
