If yes, then Randwick City Council is currently offering a Student Strategic Urban Planner position.
This position is full-time, and the successful candidate will need to commit to working a 35-hour week for the full 12-month internship commencing January 2025.
Located in the vibrant eastern suburbs with plenty of interesting urban planning projects, this opportunity will offer the successful candidate a great start to their career through direct involvement in a variety of responsibilities and duties undertaken by Council's Strategic Urban Planning team.

We will trust you to bring: Enthusiasm to learn and grow Customer service Teamwork Initiative Self-motivation Emotional intelligence To be considered for this position you must meet the following criteria: Be studying to obtain, or have recently completed a tertiary qualification at degree level in Urban Planning Have a basic understanding of the functions and aims of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 Familiarity with the role of urban planning within local government Basic research and critical analysis skills preferably in land use Ability to manage multitask workloads, deadlines and projects Ability to communicate effectively with people Demonstrated report writing skills Commitment to customer service Demonstrated commitment to EEO, WHS and the principles for a culturally diverse society Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and data analysis is highly desirable, while knowledge of 3D modelling software and Adobe Creative Cloud or similar is desirable.
