About the Role: An opportunity has opened to join the Strategic Planning Team at Bayside City Council. We are looking for a Strategic Planner to join our Strategic Planning team in a Band 5 capacity.
Reporting to the Strategic Planning Coordinator, you will use your creative urban thinking and land use planning policy expertise to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic work to guide the future of the built environment in Bayside. As a member of the team, you will use your relevant qualifications, demonstrated abilities and experience to support end to end projects and a project team.
You will help the team effectively respond to structure planning processes and programs being set by the State government for the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) precinct and the Activity Centre Program.
With the recent announcements of the State Government's Housing Targets, and the upcoming release of the draft Plan for Victoria, Council is seeking a Strategic Planner whom is eager to gain experience and knowledge helping shape our response to the State Government.
The successful candidate will also have opportunities to contribute to the implementation of Council's Affordable Housing Strategy, Urban Forest Strategy and Heritage Action Plan.
Key Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
