The company The Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) is the rural research & development corporation (RDC) for the red meat processing sector.
As the research, development and marketing service provider for Australian processors, AMPC runs programs of activity that are funded by processor levy payers, private contributions and the Australian Government.

Their purpose is to enable Australia to build the most competitive, profitable and sustainable red meat processing industry with a mission to drive world class innovation, adoption and strategic policy development through genuine partnerships built on trust.

The position Reporting to the CEO, the Strategic Partnership Manager's primary purpose is to support AMPC's growth aspirations through the nurturing of strategic partnerships and the development of new business models and funding sources.
The position will be responsible for identifying and developing partnership opportunities with a range of stakeholder groups, including private enterprise, government and philanthropy, with a view to establishing new funding sources, commercialising opportunities and adding to revenues to support the delivery of AMPC's portfolio investment plan.

The person We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following skills, experience and key attributes:
A proven track record in developing high level strategic partnerships, ideally within agriculture, technology commercialisation or similar environment.An understanding of the red meat sector is highly advantageous but not considered essential.Experience working in an environment with multiple stakeholders and commercial funding agreements.An ability to identify new business opportunities, new funding sources and prosecute a sound business case.A strong commercial orientation with highly developed negotiation skills and a drive for industry improvement.You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, embracing the challenge of navigating grey spaces and contributing to building something significant.Proactive in approach with a customer-centric philosophy.Solid team commitment including culture, collaboration, support and development.High personal performance that inspires and elevates performance in others.High levels of self-awareness.Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, science, engineering or agriculture with post graduate qualifications highly regarded.This is a newly created and key strategic position for AMPC, supporting their growth aspirations, recognising there are genuine opportunities to drive world class innovation, adoption and strategic policy development through genuine partnerships built on trust.
