Agnico Eagle owns and operates the Fosterville Gold Mine, which is located on Dja Dja Wurrung Country, approximately 20 kilometres east of Bendigo in Central Victoria.

Strategic Optimisation Manager (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)
Fosterville Gold Mine is seeking applications for our newly created Strategic Optimisation Manager role.
We are looking for an experienced continuous improvement leader with a passion for excellence and a drive to achieve.
The role will work collaboratively with our site management and operational teams to support business innovation and productivity improvement initiatives.

Reporting to the Mine General Manager this role will:
Foster and grow our current site-based skill sets with respect to Continuous Improvement principles and processes to enhance operational efficiency and strategic business alignment.
Deliver sustainable business optimisation and productivity improvements through the identification, development, and maximisation of site-based resources and opportunities.
Collaborative development of FGM's Continuous Improvement roadmap, ensuring alignment with site, regional, and company strategy.
Identify and drive opportunities for innovation and lead the implementation of efficiency and cost reduction initiatives across our operational areas.
Actively contribute to our high performing team culture, promoting a positive work environment consistent with the company's values as an integral member of the site Leadership team.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate your strengths against the following:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant mining-related discipline and commensurate business improvement experience in the mining industry.
Demonstrated experience in translating strategic priorities into operational reality, ensuring measurable and sustainable results.
Excellent communication and presentation skills (both oral and written).
Skilled negotiator and mediator – high emotional intelligence.
Advanced ability to influence, motivate, and coach at all levels across the organisation.
Rigorously seeks to improve processes and effectively solve problems, looking for solutions beyond the obvious.
Couples strategic thinking with strong business acumen and an unrelenting pursuit of productivity improvement.
Balances time and priorities of themselves and others on achieving or surpassing the desired business objectives.
The roster for this residential position will initially be 5/2 with the ability to accommodate flexible work requests once you settle into the role.

A competitive salary package will be offered commensurate with the successful applicant's qualifications, knowledge, and experience.
