About the role The purpose of this role is to deliver quality infrastructure assets safely and efficiently in a way that ensures our customers receive value for money.
Project manage the delivery of new assets from preliminary through to detailed design and commissioning, in line with YVW's values, policies, procedures, business rules, priorities, and expected behaviours.Tunnelling experience and/or Major Project experience is highly desirable.Demonstrate a personal commitment and proactive approach towards upholding the organisation's values and culture as outlined in YVW's values and behaviours.Liaise with Councils, Government Departments, and other stakeholders, including members of the public, on project-related and sometimes sensitive issues.Respond to customer queries about projects located in their area.Contribute towards the development of project plans, particularly project audit plans.Review and provide comments on the design of assets.Carry out all work in such a way as to protect their own health and safety and that of their fellow workers, contractors, and the public.Lead the development of project plans, including project audit plans.Provide accurate project status and financial reports.About you To be set up for success in this role, you'll most likely have:
Tertiary Qualification in Engineering / Project Management or equivalent.Construction Industry Induction (White Card).Demonstrated understanding of water supply and sewer systems.Knowledge of and the ability to apply the principles of project management, contract management, and tendering procedures.Knowledge of and the ability to apply the principles of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Environmental Protection Act.Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills in dealing with key stakeholders, including senior management, customers, consultants, contractors, regulators, and committees.Demonstrated experience in managing all documents, policies and procedures, standards, and specifications.The ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused attitude in challenging situations.High level of written, verbal, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.Engineers Australia CPENG Accredited and NER Registered.Why work with us?
