About the role: The Strategic Coordinator – Council Services plays a pivotal role in providing high-level strategic support, advice, and coordination to ensure the effective governance, quality assurance, risk management, and service delivery within the Council Services Directorate. This role is integral to upholding and enhancing service management standards and processes across all facets of the Directorate's operations, including Council Office Operations, Municipal Services, Community Night Patrol, Waste and Environment Management, Civic Events, Sobering Up Shelter and Animal Management Program. Reporting directly to the Director – Council Services, the Strategic Coordinator – Council Services will deliver strategic and operational leadership, fostering collaboration and innovation across the Directorate to achieve Council's objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following: Relevant Tertiary Qualifications, or relevant demonstrable experience. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of strategic problem solving and frameworks, and project management skills. Demonstrated high level oral, written, interpersonal and negotiation skills and the ability to liaise, build and maintain effective networks and communicate with influence across a range of stakeholders of diverse backgrounds. Exceptional organisational skills, including a demonstrated capacity to be self-directed, to meet deadlines and to achieve objectives. Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to discern sensitive issues and anticipate and identify risk. High degree of personal resilience, reliability, integrity, accountability and confidentiality. Ability to perform to an exceptional standard and as part of a team in an environment of high pressure. Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety policy within the broader work environment. A current 'C' Class Driver's License. It would be desirable if you also possessed: Previous experience living and/or working in remote Australian First Nations' communities. Awareness of issues affecting First Nations people in Australia, to ensure effective participation in a cross-cultural environment. All employment with EARC is subject to the successful completion of a Criminal History Check and the ability to obtain a Working with Children Clearance. Criminal history will not exclude an applicant unless it is relevant to the position. Level 6 - Salary $90,678 - $96,200 (excluding superannuation contributions and locality allowance) with annual wage increase opportunities built into our EBA. You will also benefit from 6 weeks of Annual Leave, with 17.5% leave loading. Housing is not available with this position.
