Strategic Communication and Media Officer, APS4Digital Transformation Agency – Canberra ACTThis position sits within the Office of the CEO. The Strategic Communication and Media Officer works closely across all business areas, particularly the Office of the CEO. This position requires a self-starter, team player, and someone with an eye for detail, who has the drive to make things happen to ensure tasks are delivered to a high-quality standard. The role requires someone who is an excellent communicator, able to easily build rapport with a wide variety of people (both internally and externally) and can work independently to get things done to a high standard.The key duties of the position are:Within the Strategic Communication and Media team, assist in the provision of accurate and timely advice, preparation and implementation of internal and external communication strategies that support the DTA's work.Develop and edit content to proactively promote the DTA, including media releases, blogs, media briefings, speeches, web content, publications, submissions, and other communication material.Respond to the competing priorities of a dynamic digital environment and media landscape by providing strategic advice on communications issues, including identifying opportunities and emerging risks.Contribute to the management of logistics for engagement, including event management, media pitches, production schedules, film crew assistance, and other tasks as required.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Strategic Communication and Media team by actively innovating and improving strategies, processes, and systems to produce appropriate outcomes from communications activities.Track, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the DTA's strategic communication landscapes and relationships.Develop and maintain effective relationships and networks within the DTA, the Minister's office, as well as key external stakeholders and other government agencies to ensure all stakeholders are effectively engaged.Security Clearance level required: Baseline (or ability to obtain and maintain).To be eligible for employment with the DTA applicants must be an Australian citizen.
