As a Strategic Account Manager (SAM), you will actively lead a portfolio of key accounts across various industries including Government, Facilities Management, Mining, Rail, and industry sectors. The overarching goal is to maximise TGE's profile, share of wallet and ultimately build customer loyalty such that retention and expansion is optimised.
You will form part of a Strategic Accounts team reporting to the Head of Strategic Accounts - WA. Your responsibilities include developing, expanding and solidifying long-term relationships with each customer that enable key business retention and expansion across the customer footprint and network. This will be an enterprise-wide responsibility, spanning all BUs in the active representation and solutioning to partner effectively.
What you'll do Develop, implement and review the customers' growth and sales strategy. Build, sustain & expand executive-level relationships and contacts within the customer(s), beyond operational/procurement. Driving sustainable growth: by seeking expansion of current services and/or identification of cross-sell solutioning from incremental BUs. Actively identifying key customer(s) strategic imperatives and where / how GE can unlock and position for new business development opportunities. Maintain the customers' sales & revenue forecast, ensuring all existing and new opportunities are appropriately reported in CRM, reviewed and progressed within target timeframes. Actively champion internally for the customer(s) at executive and operational levels in identifying and developing innovative solutioning for how we can better solve customer's problems. Lead in the pursuit for a seamless customer experience, by engaging with senior internal stakeholders to remove barriers or challenges in the 'ease of doing business with GE' in all aspects including accounts and customer service, as well service delivery & fulfilment. Oversee key strategic, financial & operational reporting processes between TGE and the customer. Robust understanding of customers' financial performance and trends in TGE across costs, pricing, and margins. Active awareness and access to key customers' industry/vertical including keynote trends, initiatives, innovations, governance/compliance aspects that have potential to impact TGE future growth planning. What you'll bring Are you a proactive, tenacious, and strategic sales professional in the logistics field working with major accounts and seeking a new challenge? Qualifications & Experience: Extensive sales proposal and sales presentations skills & capabilities. Strong relationship building experience from C-Suite down skills. Experience developing strategies to retain and grow a customer portfolio. Strong track record to meet and exceed sales targets. Demonstrated commercial acumen including customer and opportunity planning, and revenue forecasting. Knowledge of key and strategic market segments and displaying thought leadership. Sales discipline knowledge including sales techniques, aligning sales strategy to buyer behaviour, account planning and portfolio management and reporting. Knowledge of solutions, products, services, new and possible technology offerings, industry players and latest developments in digital ecommerce. Be a collaborative consensus builder who develops strong evidence-based ideas while being open to thoughtful counsel and advice. High level interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communications.
