Strategic Workforce Planner position at the SFIA level 5-6 range.
There will be a merit pool created for any additional suitable candidates who were unsuccessful.
The evaluation team will determine which (if any) candidates receive interviews.
Role Responsibilities Map and analyse the current state of aggregated organisational workforce and people capability in relation to the Aged Care Reform and Systems Branch.
Assist to identify qualitative and quantitative indicators that can be used to understand workforce capability.
Explore and define the current and future capability requirements to enable staff to collectively implement against a holistic product strategy.
Assist with defining and designing the future Digital Product Strategy for Aged Care Reform and Systems Branch.
Implement agreed systems of work to ensure a sustainable and consistent roadmap in alignment with the strategy, such as changes to some day-to-day operating procedures and shifts in behaviours.
Leadership capability strategy and plan to uplift to support roadmap.
Assist in developing supporting and related artifacts such as roadmaps and papers.
Plan and facilitate workshops and activities to elicit information, co-design, develop and implement aspects of the roadmap and strategy.
Provide advice on the relative risks and opportunities of the strategy and implementation activities.
Partner with staff and teams across the division and the wider department to achieve outcomes.
Transfer skills and knowledge to departmental officers.
Minimum Requirements Minimum SFIA Level Tertiary qualifications in ICT / Human Resources / Management 3-5+ years of relevant experience Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build enduring and productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Excellent planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance quality and pragmatism depending on context and the outcome required.
Prior experience working in the Australian Government, on large and complex transformation programs with a strategic focus.
Extensive experience in one or more of the following: workforce strategy, organisational design and capability development, employee experience, people and skills management.
Knowledge of the DTA Digital Service Standard, APS Professions and SFIA.
