Stores & Purchasing Officer

The role is to supervise and maintain the plant Spare Parts Inventory Control (SPIC) and Other Direct Materials (ODM) requirements and ensure the effective use of the stores management systems are utilized.
The role will also provide support for the maintenance of the general site building infrastructure service and grounds.
This is an 18 months fixed-term role based at our Rocklea Can manufacturing site.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage the Spare Parts Inventory, including: replenishment, stock take, reporting discrepancies, booking out items, etc.Implement an effective store layout and ensure the hygiene/cleanliness of the store is up to standard.Review & action SPIC orders and raise Purchase Orders.Management of Chemical & Dangerous Goods, including: management of the DGs register, storage locations & waste streams.Ad hoc duties, such as: ordering of clothing & safety items for team members.About YouSystematic thinking & strong planning capabilities.Sound computer literacy skills (QAD experience advantageous).Willingness to learn & a continuous improvement focus.Previous stores or inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment.A Trade Certificate would be advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
